The Renegade Writer

We’re down to the wire

Tomorrow’s the last day to get yourself in the running for one of three fabulous Renegade Writer Makeovers. If you’ve been putting it off, put it off no longer because once 11:59 p.m. strikes on Saturday, the mailbox at makeover [at] therenegadewriter [dot] com closes for good.

We have some exciting makeover experts lined up. I’d love to have these experts tell me how to improve my organization or finances, or help me figure out how to achieve all my career goals. Really, I’m already feeling pangs of envy that I can’t enter. :-(

So come on — send your e-mail in today. It doesn’t matter if you’ve only been writing for six months or you’re working your sixth book. We don’t care if you write at the kitchen table, part-time after your day job, or 60 hours a week in a fully loaded home office. Let us know what you’d like to accomplish with a makeover, and we’ll see if we can make it happen for you. [db]

  1. I have been writing for several years and have had some success, even having some of my articles nationally syndicated and winning awards, but I don’t have a lot of time now that I’m working full time and do not have enough hours to write, especially when I get into the zone where words and hours fly by at warp speed. I spend about 10-12 hours on my full time job six days a week, editor a club newsletter that comes out once a month and still have to fit in cleaning, dishes and the usual household chores, even working in and around work to get a shower or go to the store to buy food.

I have lots of ideas for articles and stories but can’t seem to find enough time unless I want to send something I dashed off in a few hot minutes without giving it time to marinate and mature or even edit it. I can’t afford to sleep less (don’t get that much now) but I can’t afford to let my writing languish and fade as I did with my drawing and art and I want to get to the place where I am able to rely on writing to live and not on the job I hate to pay the bills. I need help and a makeover that will last and not end up like a hairstyle I got talked into that looked easy when the stylist did it but I cannot manage on my own.
