Makeover #3 Continues…
It’s hard for me to believe it’s time for me to update you on my makeover again. Katey Coffing and I had another excellent phone call last Thursday about my book proposal. I spent the two weeks between meetings researching organizations that specialize in assisting families who have lost a child to stillbirth, checking out the literature they recommend and digging up statistics on stillbirth.
I’ve also been working on my “hook†for the proposal, and e-mailed it off to Katey, who had some excellent suggestions. She suggested I take those two paragraphs and develop them into a one-to-two page overview for the proposal before our next meeting, and start taking notes and outlining the different sections of the book.
There’s a lot of work for me to do before this makeover ends – my next meeting with Katey will be my last under the terms of my makeover win – and I have decided to purchase one of her book coaching packages so we can continue our work together. Katey’s enthusiasm for my book and helpful suggestions make me believe I can write – and sell – this book. She’s upped my confidence level several times over and is a real pleasure to work with. Our next meeting date is still to be determined – my daughter finishes kindergarten this week and I am scrambling to work out summer plans before I can schedule our last makeover-related meeting. Ginny, I’m so glad Katey has been so helpful to you! It sounds like you have a winner of a book.
Thank you, Katey!
Thanks Linda. This has been a fantastic experience for me and has really ramped up my writing. Katey is fantastic to work with and I’m really looking forward to continuing to work with her on this project.
