This is ironic. I was just asking about the same thing a felt pretty stupid that I just couldn't seem to stay tuned in writing everyday. Or what to write about for that matter. Each time I'd start on something, I'd get another idea and decide to stop and start on something else. My biggist problem is that I can't seem to decide on what I'd prefer to write about. I've heard that what you enjoy reading is what you should write about...but I keep looking at what other writers are being successful at. At this pace, nothing get accomplished. This morning, I picked up a piece that I had already started on months ago. After taking a break, decided, or should I write something fiction? By the way, reading this has been helpful in seeing that others have similar struggles. At least in procrastinating.

So true. I’m in my forties and I’ve had all of these thoughts over the course of my life and as a result haven’t accomplished 1/100th of the writing I wanted to. In recent months I’ve begun to use similar rebuttals in my thinking. I’m writing more, I feel better, and it gets easier to get started.
