Believe it or not, you don't need any special degree to write for magazines. In fact, my MA is in Slavic Linguistics. And not one editor has ever asked. if you can come up with salable ideas and write a query that will knock an editor's socks off, he won't even care if you have a high school degree. As for how to write a query; First, Diana and I (and my writer husband Eric) offer a free packet of 2 query letters that have landed us assignments for up for $3,750...to get it, send a blank e-mail to queries@renegadewriter.com.
