Introduction to Food Writing September class is FULL — Sign up now for November session

Because of an overwhelming number of signups, we’ve cut off registration for the September 7 session of Monica’s Bhide’s Introduction to Food Writing course. Monica will be teaching this super-popular course again, though, starting November 2. Registration is now open for the November class, so sign up today — we anticipate this session, too, will sell out quickly, possibly by the end of this month.

A shameless plug: I’m a dedicated, fairly savvy home cook and earn almost all my income writing exclusively about food, but I learned so much while working with Monica on this class, everything from how to keep better notes while developing a recipe, to how to pull a cookbook proposal together, and so much more. Each weekly session is jam-packed with invaluable material only someone with hard-earned experience in the food world can impart. We are so, so lucky to have someone of Monica Bhide’s stature teaching our food writing course. :-)

Moreover, Monica interviewed top-shelf food writers and editors for each weekly lesson, including Mark Bittman (who also wrote the introduction to her hot new book, Modern Spice, chosen by “Top Chef”‘s Padma Lakshmi as one of her favorite cookbooks!), travel editor Salma Abdelnour of Food & Wine, and the amazing Toni Allegra, who runs the prestigious annual Symposium for Professional Food Writers at The Greenbrier.

Ok, shameless brazen hussy plug is over. But seriously, this course is not to be missed if you’re at all interested in writing about food. [db]
