What’s Your Excuse?
This week I wrote a post called 3 Excuses That Are Keeping You from a Successful Freelance Writing Career. I received comments and e-mails from several writers listing their own excuses that I hadn’t included on my list.
Then I came up with an idea: If you e-mail me your top excuse that’s keeping you from pitching magazines — or pitching better-paying markets if you’re writing for cheap or free — I’ll try to bust them on the blog to help you get motivated. If you’re interested, you can e-mail me at lindaformichelli@gmail.com with the subject line “Bust My Excuse.”
Are you waiting for the perfect conditions to start pitching? Do you think you need to watch 3 hours of TV every night after a day at work? Do you think all the good article ideas are taken? Let the excuses fly! [lf]
