  1. Two projects I’m trying to get back to are sending out queries again and starting my new blog. I work so hard on my clients projects that I’ve gotten away from my own. There are also a few books rolling around in my head, but I’ll focus on these two right now :0)

  2. KimberlyFDR says:

I need to put final revisions on my first novel (final draft) and start the second draft of my second novel, since I’m just finishing the first draft up now.

  3. Tricia says:

I need to finish a book proposal and (finally) launch my blog!

  4. yvonne says:

Two projects I’m working on are my very first query & setting up my blog. Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. April says:

There are a couple of magazine pitches I’m working on.

  6. I’d like to re-establish a routine for pitching since we’ve moved. That includes regular queries and posting regularly to my blog…

  7. Jen says:

I have a list of story ideas that’s I’ve jotted down over time. I’d like to go through that list and find a few ideas that I could flesh out into queries for magazines. I also have a profile that I wrote for a class that I’d like to turn into an essay. It’s a tough subject to tackle, so I’ve been avoiding it. But I think it could make a good story if I could just get started. Thanks so much for sponsoring this contest!

  8. Marla Beck says:

I love your project ideas, everyone — they’re really perfect for Two Days to Write.

Wishing you all luck. Keep your entries coming!

    -Marla

  9. L'Tanya says:

I’d like to write 2-3 essays and find markets to submit them and write 1 essay for my new blog.

  10. I’d like to break into a certain market segment I have yet to crack – major womens’ magazines.

  11. Lilla says:

I’d like to get positive feedback from editors at a new food magazine in my hometown and maybe something a little higher up the foodchain.

  12. D Bianchi says:

I would love to focus on finishing up the query I started in your Write for Magazines class. I just can’t seem to focus enough to get this completed. I am so close – yet so far.

  13. K Bright says:

I have always thrown around the idea of writing a book of short stories but having this opportunity to spend time with Marla to make this a reality with Marla would be a dream come true! Also writing a magazine article. Looking forward to the opportunity to learn to put this time to good use.

  14. Sue says:

I have never written a query for a magazine so would take the time to focus on doing just that. Would be the perfect time to just get started and make things happen!

  15. This giveaway sounds like a great opportunity to tackle an e-cookbook project and truce crime essay that has been on my to do list for the past couple of months. Working in my new role as editor of a trade publication and website, I haven’t yet learned to balance my personal writing goals with my professional writing obligations. The intensive would provide a great kick start for achieving my writing goals in 2012. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  16. Christy says:

wow, this sounds amazing! a blueprint with a 30 day goal plan is just what I need, and to hone my niche and so I can formulate article ideas more quickly.

    thanks for the opportunity!

    Christy

  17. Thanks for this opportunity, Linda. I could use a “push” to help me move forward with a couple of non-fiction projects that have been simmering in the back of my mind for several months. Marla’s program sounds perfect for putting me on the right track.

  18. Elizabeth says:

I would love to revise and submit a nature essay I’ve been working on, as well as query magazines with some article ideas I’ve had over a year.

  19. Ann says:

I’d love to get some solid (and successful) queries out there…would really love to start the new year knowing the ball is rolling!

  20. Great giveaway! I’m really crossing my fingers. I would love to use this opportunity to do conduct a two-day query letter blast. Ya know, get that work lined up for the start of the new year!

  21. Pat Howard says:

This sounds like a great program. I have an article I would like to flesh out, as well as a couple of blog ideas–I can’t decide which one I want to tackle first.

  22. Marla Beck says:

Excited to see so many terrific projects…wow!

  23. This is such a generous offer! I would love to work on an outline for a novel I’ve been thinking about for a while and/or work on some pitches for my copywriting and resume writing business. Thanks! :)

  24. Bjoern says:

A very generous offer. I’d use the workshop to work on the outline of my new novel.

  25. Sandra Gahlinger says:

    Hi Ladies,

Fun contest! I’ve been gearing up and creating the space to go back into the writing after a 4 1/2 year hiatus. I’ve picked up the items to create the filing system, and today, I’m creating a “new assignments” checklist – all based on Linda’s “Get Unstuck for Freelancers”. (Thanks, again, Linda – and if you haven’t checked that out, it’s a good idea…even if you’re not stuck. There’s great tips on productivity, organization and efficiency in there!)

So here’s the info on what I’d do with “Two Days to Write”:

    Name: Sandra Gahlinger

Project 1: Go through my compiled web addresses for Custom and Trade Publications and compile a list of pubs/editors and draft an LOI to send.

Project 2: Draft the outline and a chapter or two of an ebook. (Market/Forum research has already been done.) Perhaps in between those two activities, contact one of the therapists I found in the research to partner with on the book.

    Happy writing to all!

    : ) Sandra

  26. Laura says:

I need to get a bunch of queries out. This would be a great way to focus on that.

  27. Sonja says:

I would work on developing some ideas and getting some good queries out the door.

  28. I’d focus on a couple of projects as well.

    1. Draft the outline of an (e)book that has been sitting in my mind for the past 10 years, which I have never had the confidence, time, or energy to delve into. An external push would get me started on this one.

    2. Send a bunch of successful queries and proposals, as I have yet been dipping one toe into the freelance writing world and would love a push to take the plunge.

  29. Katrina says:

I’ve been plotting a book proposal in my head but have yet to put a word of it on paper. I’ve also been stalling on a particular magazine query that I just need to get out the door!

  30. Rosy says:

I’d like to be able to set priorities and a dedicated schedule tobegin writing my novel – which I’ve preliminarily outined. I would also like to start thinking – and by that I mean really focusing and finding the time to write articles for publication.

  31. Jan Udlock says:

I would love to set up a routine where I have goals for blogging and goals for writing parenting articles. I can’t seem to find a balance between the two so I’ve given up on blogging but it seems to be calling me back over and over again. And the guilt is killing me.

  32. Paul says:

I simply need to land more projects and make more money. Things have been so lean here. I also want to get serious about a perseverance book I wish to write about my life.

  33. E says:

I would work on two things. 1) setting up my environment so it’s most conducive to writing and 2) working out my schedule so it’s not so scatter shot.

  34. Alicia says:

I’m a freelance writer now, but I’m halfway through a health and nutrition program to become a certified health coach. I’d LOVE to turn that into a writing career, because that sort of information is needed everywhere in the world!

  35. Kari Wolfe says:

I would work on the outline to my first novel and really focus on getting great character arcs and plot structure. Getting that finished would be a huge step forward because it seems as though when I sit down to do it, I become distracted or wander off into doing other things. The second thing I would work on is developing a writing/blogging schedule that focuses me on writing that novel and setting goals to see it finished. I need to learn to be accountable to myself where my writing comes into play!

    Thanks for this chance :)

  36. Page says:

Focusing on two projects? I love that idea. Working on the outline for my e-book and defining a set process for writing articles, and then writing them!

  37. sky sanchez says:

I would love to discipline myself and schedule so I can make writing a priority and send out a couple of queries for publication in trade magazines. Is there hope?!
