Another March 2011 teleclass has been scheduled!

Top 10 Essay Mistakes Smart Writers Make, taught by Amy Paturel

Date: Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 8:30-9:30 pm ET (Note that this is East Coast time; please check for the correct time in your time zone. Also note that this is PM, not AM!)

Topic: Top 10 Essay Mistakes Smart Writers Make: Wondering why your essays aren’t selling? In this teleclass, Amy Paturel will cover essay snafus like clearing your throat on the page, holding back, and being afraid of dialogue. She’ll also offer tips on how to avoid making these common essay writing blunders. There will be time after the presentation to ask questions. Amy will also be making a special offer only for teleclass participants.

About Amy: Amy Paturel has published essays in major women’s magazines, regional newspapers, niche publications and general interest magazines. She has been featured twice in Newsweek’s “My Turn” column and has contributed essays to Health, Women’s Health, Body+Soul, Healing Lifestyles & Spas, The Los Angeles Times, and more. As a columnist for AOL’s Diet and Fitness Channels, she “essayed” about fast (and slow) food, strip workouts, and fitness DVDs to create an emotional connection with AOL subscribers around diet and fitness. Admittedly, writing essays is not Amy’s only source of income. To pay the bills, she writes about health, fitness, food, wine, and travel for a variety of clients from general interest magazines to medical e-zines. Her work frequently appears in Cooking Light, Health, Eating Well, Women’s Health, and Better Homes and Gardens. Amy teaches an e-course called Essay Writing: How to Find the Story in You — and Sell It; the next session starts on April 4.
