I write for various UK publications and I'm a former Deputy Editor of a national magazine. Maybe this is a cultural distinction (Us/UK) but the query is way too long, it isn't clear what Andy is even pitching. Is this a cold call or is there a missing previous email where he pitches an initial idea to the Editor and this is a follow-up? I assume he is known to the Editor or he would introduce his himself in a short paragraph with a few published credentials?
